The 8th International Task Workshop of the Bebras Contest took place in Druskininkai, Lithuania. From May 29 to June 3, 2012, delegates from 27 countries participated. Among the candidates for becoming new Bebras countries are Bangladesh, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Part of the workshop was an open conference on “Informatics at School: Fundamentals, Innovation, and Research”.
